Kaiden McGill Memorial Aviation Scholarship

This scholarship honors the memory of Kaiden McGill, a kind-hearted and adventurous young man who dreamed of learning to fly. This scholarship celebrates his spirit, friendship, and love for flight by giving other students the chance to explore the skies in his memory.

Students entering 6th–12th grade in the 2025–2026 school year
Must reside in Harrison County, Mississippi
Must be available to attend Camp Session 3:
July 14, 15, 16 & July 21, 22, 23, 2025

Students under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to apply for and participate in this scholarship program.

Be sure to include the applicant's name, grade level for the 2025–2026 school year, school name, and contact information, along with responses to all four essay questions.

📸 Note: Scholarship recipients will be asked to share a photo from their camp or flight experience. These photos may be used to promote future opportunities.

🏛️ About the Camp

Aviation Summer Camp is hosted at the Mississippi Aviation Heritage Museum in Gulfport, MS. Campers explore aviation history 🛬, flight principles, and hands-on activities 🔧. Cost is covered for scholarship recipients.

🛫 Introductory Flight

Students will enjoy a private discovery flight ✈️ with a certified instructor at Apollo Flight Training (Gulfport–Biloxi International Airport).

Apollo Flight Training & Aircraft Management is staffed by experienced current and former airline pilots who offer introductory rides in a Cessna 172. These flights include pre‑flight briefing, hands‑on time at the controls, and a strong emphasis on safety and education.
